The Crisis
Surviving the COVID-19 Pandemic has without a doubt put us all to the test. It has forced most businesses to evolve and transform, with Karoo Classics it was no exception. We view ourselves very blessed and fortunate to be able to say, as the lyrics of Elton John go, “I’m still standing!!” and indeed we are! To make this a possibility, it took a lot of innovation from our General Manager, Wilbar Robberts. He saw a great opportunity and made it a reality along our new partner – Norton Kingwill, without whom all of this would be impossible.
Meet the Family Sadly, in order to survive the crisis, the business had to be streamlined, we are however still trading. Currently, our team is 5 men strong. We have our Franschhoek store, where Marzahn is aiming to take the shop to new heights. Back in Stellenbosch, we have our beautiful flagship store where the rest of the team is hustling hard to keep us going. Lee-Ann, Annie, Gerald and Wilbar are all motivated and ready for the season ahead - whatever it might entail.
The Good News Amongst the sad news of local shops and spaces closing around us, we were thankful to announce the news that we reopened during August; and indeed received a warm welcome back. We would like to take a moment to thank our family and friends (we refer to every single customer and loyal client as family) as we could never have been able to survive these unprecedented times without your loyal support. But Wait, There’s more! We have had such an overwhelming response with our Reopening Sale that we decided to extend it until the end of October 2020. This means that you still have time to shop either in store or online for another month! Don’t Miss Out!!
